In a highly rewarding role an Intensive Support Worker works with individuals who require extensive supports around health and / or behavioural contexts. As an Intensive Service Support Worker working in the Newton Mearns and/or Uddingston and surrounding areas you will always focus on the supported people helping them to achieve the things that matter while working effectively with internal teams, partners and families to accomplish this. This means helping the people to make choices and decisions through exploring and accessing opportunities that help them develop a lifestyle that is meaningful and rewarding whilst achieving their personal outcomes. The salary range is dependent on service and shift pattern that includes day shift, long days and nightshift. **The role**: Your work, which would be varied and can be challenging but highly rewarding, would ensure the outcome-based support plans designed to meet each person’s needs are delivered. You could be assisting with clinical and health care needs, assisting with personal care, meeting the explicit range of competencies as set out by health partners and undertaking specialist training, as required, to be suitably skilled. You may already have or would like to advance your knowledge, training, and skills to provide an excellent intensive home support service; including care to people ventilated in their own homes and those with long term conditions. If you do not have a SVQ 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), we would ask for your commitment to undertake a SVQ and to become registered. **Additional desirable qualities of the post holder include**: - Hardworking, flexible, motivated and driven to do the right thing by the people we support - Ability to develop positive working relationships, with excellent communication skills and active listening skills - Proficient computer skills and - Previous experience within a similar role is advantageous **Our commitment** You will enjoy competitive pay and holidays along with a referral recruitment scheme, a contributory pension scheme, an excellent 4 x annual salary life assurance, access to an employee health assistance programme and eligible in work travel payments.
