**Finance Assistant**

This individual will be responsible for delivering an effective accounts payable function including managing all aspects of the purchase ledger and resolving supplier queries on a timely basis to ensure management accounting deadlines are met. The role will also require interaction with other areas of the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Print all Purchase ledger invoices, file in account and date order GRN & manuals
- Save all invoices into Purchase Ledger folder
- Process purchase ledger GRN invoices daily
- Process manual invoices when approved (code to correct GL account)
- Download invoices from online portals
- Raise stock or quantity queries with the Supply Chain department
- Raise price queries with the Commercial department
- Chase suppliers for any credits due
- Process credits and code to correct GL accounts
- Contact suppliers and resolve any outstanding queries
- Sending out credit card statement templates using macro for more information GBP & Euro at the beginning of each month
- Obtain receipts for all credit card statements (GBP & Euro) and chase any that are outstanding by deadline to ensure management account deadlines are met
- Code credit card statement replies ready for posting (GBP & Euro)
- Send out statement requests using excel macro to purchase ledger suppliers at the end of each month.
- Save all statements received in the Purchase ledger folder by relevant month
- Reconcile all supplier statements and ensure any queries are documented and promptly dealt with.
- Process and Pay UPS & Tungstens invoices using online portal
- Downloaded Ford SB's for Finance Admin Assistant

NB - this is not an exhaustive list and the post holder may be required to provide support and assist in other areas as required by their Line Manager to ensure the department’s responsibilities are met on a timely basis to a high standard.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Highly organised and capable of working to tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills (written and verbally)
- A hands-on approach
- Strong team player

**Great to have but not essential**:

- A dedicated team player who is able to show flexibility on working hours during certain key points of the year when deadlines may need to be met

- AAT Level 1
