As a Assistant Management Accountant, you will be joining a very exciting corporate who are looking for a accountant to support their Finance Team to support the FC

**Client Details**

**Description**

Job duties for the Assistant Management Accountant include:

- Support the production of timely and accurate management accounts and look to improve the value of the information that is being provided
- Post monthly journals, accruals and prepayments as required
- Maintenance of the general ledger
- Prepare weekly payment runs
- Assist in the preparation of balance sheet control account reconciliations
- Assist the Management Accountant with the preparation of budgets
- Prepare reports and commentary on performance vs budgets to ensure that spend is in line with plan
- Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
- Support with statutory reporting tasks such as the quarterly VAT returns, ECSL, international tax returns and surveys for ONS
- Assist with the completion of the year-end audit

**Profile**
- At least part qualified, studying towards a recognised UK accountancy qualification ideally in a financial services environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Team working skills and an open and enthusiastic approach to work
- Ability to understand integrated financial forecasts

**Job Offer**

The successful Assistant Management Accountant will:

- Be Based in South Wales, Newport
- Received £30,000-£38,000 DOE
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension
