The Quality Assurance Review has been the core of Challenge Partners’ offer since the organisation was founded over 10 years ago. As the organisation continues to grow and support schools within a changing educational landscape we are refocusing on the Quality Assurance Review to ensure it is both fit for purpose in serving the needs of our schools and scalable and sustainable in its delivery.
The Programme Lead: QA Review will work closely with the QAR Programme Manager and the Partnership Coordinators to ensure that delivery of the QA Review runs smoothly. The QAR Programme Lead will support with the development and lead on the implementation of new processes and systems that mean the QA Review can be delivered more sustainably and can grow in scale in line with our ambitions for organisational growth.
The QAR Programme Lead will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:
Programme Management and Evaluation (QA Review)
- Oversee delivery of the QA Review, including training, review delivery, scheduling and associated activities
- Work with the QAR Manager on the continuous improvement of the QA Review experience and impact for our schools
- Oversee the production and use of a risk management and action plan for programmes, updating leadership and trustee stakeholder groups as appropriate
- Oversee the QA Review budget setting and budget management processes throughout the delivery year. Manage over
- or under-spends with internal and funding stakeholders
- Lead on the development and management of QA Review programme quality assurance processes
- Identify all critical stakeholders. Maintain relationships with advisors, school and trust leaders, service providers and other stakeholders as identified and take responsibility for resolving all queries and operational issues. This includes responsibility for management of Lead Reviewers, including:
- Recruitment of Lead Reviewers and managing the process for induction
- Overseeing the training of Lead Reviewers
- Support the Head of Programmes and Evaluation to deliver the internal and external programme evaluation strategy, drawing conclusions and appropriate actions and presenting these to leadership and trustee stakeholder groups as appropriate
Programme Development (QA Review)
- Work with the Programmes Manager on the development of strategies to support efficiency and scale the delivery of the QA Review, including and not limited to the engagement of new technologies, processes and ways of working
- Lead on the implementation of new strategies with Partnership Coordinators to support efficiency and scale delivery
- Make recommendations for further programme development initiatives and lead on their implementation
- Work with the Communications, Marketing and Engagement Manager to demonstrate how the quality of our programme delivery aligns with Challenge Partners’ core objectives (including vision and values), and how we provide value for money
Line Management and task management (matrix working)
- Ensure that your team understand Challenge Partners’ strategy and the role they play within this
- Provide high-quality and consistent line management to your team, including regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews
- Provide consistent and high quality task management to all Partnership Coordinators around their work on the QA Review
- Support your team’s development through access to appropriate opportunities, and identifying internal and external training needs to incentivise and retain high-performing staff
- Ensure direct reports have the management input, training, resources and guidance they need to undertake their roles effectively and efficiently. Including but not limited to:
- Task management and matrix working
- Risk Management and escalation
- Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Project Management skills
- Ensure that your team work well with each other, members of the wider Central Team, and school leaders within the network
