**Are you passionate about enhancing a child or young person’s everyday life?**

**Would you like to progress your career by working with children who require complex clinical care?**

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants to join our team in Middleton who have a genuine interest in working with children, to support a young toddler with her complex care needs.

**Meet our service user**

Our service user is a 2-year-old little girl who lives with her loving family in Middleton. She requires support on a part-time, 1:1 basis throughout the day.

Nursery rhymes and watching cartoons on her IPAD are some of her favourite activities, as well as playing with sensory toys to help promote her personal development. She is very engaging and enjoys the interaction from others and will often reach out to things including her dummy, she particularly loves to cuddle her favourite toy rabbit.

Throughout the day you will support with her personal care, moving and handling requirements and attending to her clinical care needs when required. You will offer reassurance as and when needed and assist her to enjoy her hobbies and interests.

This is a great opportunity where you will be using the valuable skills from your gained experience and progressing into a Children’s Complex Care Assistant.

**Our service user’s family has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.**

**It is essential to have experience working with children within a healthcare setting for this position**

**Essential Experience Required**
- 3 months of previous care experience
- Personal care
- Moving and Handling
- Administration of Medication
- Children’s experience within a complex care setting

**Desired Experience Required**
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation Management
- Gastrostomy Feeds (PEG)

**Shifts Available**
- Part-Time days 2 shifts per week (Term Time Only)
- Monday & Tuesdays 7.45am - 4.30pm
- Part time nights
- 10:00pm - 7:00am
- Must be available alternate weekends

**Take a look at our pay rates**

Weekdays: £11.50 per hour (Approx. £100.62 per 8.75-hour shift)

Weeknights: £12.00 per hour (Approx. £108 per 9 hour shift)

Weekends: £12.50 per hour (Approx. £112.50 per 9 hour shift)

Bank Holidays: £16.00 per hour (Approx. £144.00 per 9 hour shift)
