We are seeking to recruit a competent and enthusiastic Technical Instructor to join our friendly well-established Occupational Therapy Rheumatology Service based at Hexham General Hospital. You will provide support to the Rheumatology Occupational Therapist at Hexham General Hospital, there will be an expectation that you will support other colleagues across the trust as required. You will be responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries from clients, carers and colleagues. You may be involved in group work, you will carry out assessments and other tasks screened by the therapist.

You will arrange appointments with clients and other professionals in order. You will forward reports and letters created by the professionals and maintain computer and paper-based filing systems and databases. You should be highly motivated with excellent communication skills with a flexible approach to your work.

You must have a good general education and should have a relevant NVQ level 3 or above or equivalent qualification. You must be numerate, computer literate and able to meet deadlines. Experience of working in health or social care environment and dealing with clients and their carers is desirable as would some experience working in an office environment and the ability to work with mínimal supervision following set procedures.
