The Intermediate Care Service (ICS) provides care and therapy to patients in their own homes and in commissioned health interim beds in private provider care homes on a discharge pathway or admission avoidance pathway for up to six weeks. This role will provide senior administrative support primarily for clinicians in the Intermediate Care Service. The service is countywide and you will have a choice of base, Cambourne, Huntingdon, Ely, or Peterborough. The post holder will be able to combine working from base with working from home.
The post holders will be the first point of contact for referrals into the service and they will have close communication with health and social care organisations in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care System who manage the discharge and admission avoidance of patients. The post holder will also support the flow of patients through Intermediate Care, with a focus on supporting the pathway of patients in health interim private provider care homes. Excellent communication and customer service skills are required.
Working hours for this role will typically be 0800-1600hrs Monday to Friday and 0800-1230 Sundays.

The service hours are 0700-2200hrs. The post holder will be required to work across 7 days a week in line with the service hours. This will typically be 0800-1600hrs Monday to Friday and 0800-1230 Sundays.
The post holder will be responsible for providing efficient, effective and timely administrative support for the ICS. Such support will include liaison with external referrers, Trust staff and ICT colleagues, to ensure effective communication and administrative systems are maintained for the receipt and onward delivery of all referrals

1. To undertake, allocate and supervise administration tasks.
2. To supervise triaging of priority of referrals with the support of clinical staff
4. To work with Line Manager to lead on the introduction and proactive management of any new processes and initiatives
5. May be required to supervise a team of administrative staff including undertaking appraisals, supervision, training etc
6. To use rostering systems, such as Health Roster, as required in liaison with Business Support, locality teams, line Manager and other managers to ensure appropriate and continuing cover.
7. Provide information and support to managers on the performance and conduct of members of staff.
8. To support managers and clinical staff with all aspects of the recruitment of clinical staff in line with the processes and policies and to ensure that newly appointed staff undergo their local and Trust inductions.
9. Be responsible for organising and controlling own and others workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently.
10. In the absence of Business Support to arrange and attend meetings, including booking venues and hospitality if appropriate.
11. Provide cover as directed by Line Manager
12. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and sharing of information is done in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
