**Job Title **Trust and Foundations Fundraiser
**Reporting to **Head of Fundraising
**Hours **37.5 hours per week (part time hours considered)
**Salary **£26,000 - £30,000 per annum dependant on experience
**Holidays **28 days per annum pro rata (including Bank Holidays)
It will also, on occasion, be a front facing role for the team, assisting in Corporate and Community fundraising.
**Key Tasks**:
- Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to ensure plans are in place to achieve the income and expenditure targets set.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with all organisations that you are in contact with.
- Work with Rainbow Centre staff and departments in order to produce effective communication on fundraising/promotional issues and projects.
- Ensure processes & systems, including the database, are kept up to date.
- Maintain contact and enhance the relationships with current funders
- Produce weekly updates to keep the wider team up to date with income development.
- Ensure appropriate and professional acknowledgements and concise reporting on funded projects.
**Team Working**
1. Working with colleagues in all teams to move the Rainbow Centre forward strategically
2. Working with the fundraising team contributing to overall strategic plans and budgets.
3. Work with colleagues to produce newsworthy items for social media and the website.
4. Support fundraising colleagues at events.
5. Represent the charity to a range of potential supporters through a variety of mediums including presentations, face to face meetings and social media as appropriate.
6. Support any donor led events and campaigns to maximise on income and awareness raising for Rainbow as required.
7. Identify new contacts and methods to increase giving potential and develop those contacts.
**Communication and working relationships**
The post holder will report directly to the Head of Fundraising and will need to maintain positive working relationships with the following people:
External:
- Trusts & Foundations
- Businesses
- Local Community Groups
- Statutory bodies
- Members
- Local media - to promote Rainbow’s activities and fundraising activities
- Volunteers
Internal:
- Corporate, Community and Events Fundraisers
- Students and apprentices
- Finance department
- The Rainbow Centre wider team as appropriate
**Other**
1. Ensure the health and safety of all colleagues, volunteers & visitors in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy of the Rainbow Centre.

3. Undertake other projects as necessary as agreed with your line manager.
4. Attend agreed training courses as required to ensure development within role.
**Person Specification**
**General**
- Be sensitive to the needs of the parents, children and adults entering the conductive education environment.

- Have excellent organisational skills.
- Have an excellent telephone and face to face manner that reflects the ethos of the Centre.

- Contribute to the goodwill needed to provide the right atmosphere for all participants to feel confident, safe and at home.
**Essential Requirements**
- At least three years’ experience of working in the Charity sector in a similar role
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal skills face to face, on telephone and in writing
- The ability to build relationships with funders
- Good communication skills including the ability to write great copy
- Experience of planning and producing effective fundraising research
- Ability to organise and prioritise workloads
- Able to work flexible hours as required (including very occasional evenings and weekends)
- Good working knowledge of MS office systems
**Desirable**
- Have a proven track record of achieving targets
- Good understanding of fundraising procedures and best practice
- Experience of putting together complex budgets including full cost recovery
- Be a confident user of fundraising databases including queries/reports/analytics
**Qualities**

- Ability to work alone or as part of a team
