Workshop Production Apprentice

**Working Week**:
**Under 18's**: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
**Over 18's**: Monday to Friday 7.45am-5.15pm Saturday hours 8.30-12.30 on a 4 week rota
**What will the apprentice be doing? **On a day to day basis.(Max 500 word)
On a day-to-day basis as a Workshop Production Apprentice at Cornwall Glass and Glazing, you will be carrying out your work safely & meeting the high-quality standards set in a fast paced & well organised environment. Your duties will include:
- Glass cutting and drilling
- Handling & carrying glass up to approx. 30kg.
- Machine maintenance
- Being a key team member
**What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?**
The apprenticeship consists of:
- Intermediate Standard Apprenticeship-Lean Manufacturing Operative
- L2 NVQ Diploma in Manufacturing
- Functional Skills in English and Maths (Level 1/2) where applicable
- Will include Level 2 NVQ in Glass Processing
All aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with your employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
You will achieve a qualification in Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Standard.
**What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?**
Progressing into higher level jobs within the company, increase in wage depending on performance. Rate of pay will rise during the apprenticeship in years 1 and 2 to between £17-23k per annum based on regular positive review and also receive a £250 contribution to driving lessons if required after 9 months.
