**Workshop Technician** required to join a specialist automotive brand based in **Exeter, Devon** on a permanent basis paying a salary between **£25,000 to £30,000 per annum plus benefits** (negotiable dependant on experience)**.**
Our client is a prominent specialist in their field, with a robust UK presence. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of master craftsmen offering the opportunity to place your name against some of the world’s most eye catching and valued road worthyvehicles whilst partnering with renowned organisation to deliver a company vision which transcends expectations.
They are a modest business with highly motivated employees, and they are looking for a skilled poised **Workshop Technician** to join their team.
Within their workshop they build shock absorbers from scratch, including building sub-assemblies, and final testing. The successful **Workshop Technician** will carry out servicing and rebuilds of the client’s own product. Their workload is rapidly expanding in several areas, and they are currently involved in a contract to supply a significant number of specially designeddampers to one particular customer.
The successful **Workshop Technician** will receive as much training as they need but would be expected to be quickly up to speed on building their current stock, as well these special dampers. The work this client will provide is very fascinatingand inspiring, especially for a **Workshop Technician** who already has an interest in rallying and all types of motor sports.
**The ideal Workshop Technician:
- Knowledge and experience of automotive mechanics, and preferably also hydraulics
- Ability to work accurately at speed and at the same time to have the engineering experience to problem solve and be aware of any potential issues during assembly
- Ability to read and understand CAD drawings
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Good organisational skills
- Preferably familiarity with the operation of a dynamometer
- Must have great attention to detail
- Energetic, proactive, calm under pressure, personable and mature personality
- Strong team-worker - ability to thrive in a small, closely-knit team
- Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
- Flexible approach to working hours
