I am working with one of the UK’s fastest growing retailers to appoint a Chief Omnichannel/E-Commerce Officer to lead their digital platform.
Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for all aspects of digital trading across various e-commerce platforms. My client is looking to appoint a market leader who has the drive and ambition to support their future growth plans.
You will have extensive international online market experience and be able to tackle new opportunities with a proven track record of innovative successful online growth, leading to increased profitability.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- You will lead the development of the omni channel strategy, within the UK & internationally
- You will work closely with the CTO and in-house development team to continuously improve the digital platform
- You will own the online P&L and fully understand the key cost drivers including digital ad spend, courier costs, fulfilment costs and product / category ROI.
- Create an omni channel experience that drives overall sales and customer satisfaction
- Lead, develop & build a brilliant team to maximise brand building, trading performance and commercial growth
- Maximising online sales performance through effective day to day adaptations of the site, add to list, promotional activity and reducing customer bounce rates
- Work closely with the Buying teams to create a joined-up trading content calendar, planning for e commerce platforms
- Delivering performance through “hands on” leadership remaining close to and understanding all sales activity and metrics
- Improve commercial performance using data sources including web analytics data on traffic, P&L, add to list and conversion
- Manage e-commerce dashboards and reporting metrics
- Owning, delivering and communicating accurate and dynamic trading insights and reporting on e-commerce within the Company
**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an E-Commerce/ Omnichannel trading environment
- International experience within an E-Commerce Omnichannel trading environment preferred
- Experience with online ‘marketplace’ an advantage.
- Have a great understanding of customer and market behaviour and able to adapt to changes
- A creative eye and an ability to plan content across multiple platforms
- Ability to lead teams and manage third-party providers to complete projects on time and to budget
- Have a vast track record of successfully growing online sales performance through effective trading of the site as well as delivering on budget and long-term strategy
- Highly numerate and proficient in analytical and reporting tools
- The ability to be adaptable and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Be an exceptional senior stake holder manager, both internally and externally and able to influence and take people on a journey at all levels
- Must have a very strong technical understanding of platform development, managing & prioritising development pipelines and balancing tech debt with innovation.
Salary is negotiable - location is Plymouth, office based (hybrid) and offers a generous annual bonus.
