**Salary**: c£45,000 per year (depending on experience)

**About the Role**

We’re looking for a capable and confident HR Adviser to take the lead on day-to-day HR operations in a growing, hands-on business. This standalone role is ideal for someone who’s already solid in their HR experience and now looking for the next step: more autonomy, more responsibility and the chance to truly make their mar

You’ll be the first port of call for all people-related queries and processes - from recruitment and onboarding to employee support and policy updates. You’ll also be mentored by a senior HR leader, with a clear and supported path to grow into an HR Manager role over the next 12 months.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- People Support & Administration_
- Be the first point of contact for everyday HR queries, offering practical, down-to-earth advice
- Support line managers with performance, absence and wellbeing conversations - coaching where needed
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring everything is compliant, well-organised and audit ready
- Recruitment & Onboarding_
- Own the full recruitment process - from writing job adverts to arranging interview and preparing job offers
- Lead smooth onboarding and induction processes that help new starters hit the ground running
- Policies & Compliance_
- Keep contracts, policies and employee handbooks up to date and fit for purpose
- Ensure compliance with employment law, GDPR and Right to Work legislation, with the confidence to flag risks early
- Maintain structured HR documentation and processes, making sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes
- Learning & Growth_
- Co-ordinate all training activities, liaising with external providers where needed
- Support with people-related projects, improvements and initiatives that align with the business’ growth plans
- Be mentored to build your capability, commercial awareness and confidence - preparing you for HR leadership

**What we’re looking for**:

- 3+ years of generalist HR experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment
- Comfortable giving first-line HR advice and managing core HR processes.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
- A proactive, positive and practical mindset - you like to “crack on” and get things sorted
- CIPD Level 3 minimum (Level 5 or working towards it would be a bonus)
- Ambition to grow into an HR Manager role within 12-18 months
- Friendly, approachable and confident - comfortable working independently but never afraid to ask for help
