As a Registered Nurse (RGN) you will be an integral part of the healthcare team and will be involved in everything from clinical triage to the evaluation of patient care and standards. You’ll carry out - and potentially develop - nurse-led clinics, reviewingpatient’s histories, undertaking relevant examinations and tests, organising any necessary treatment, and referring patients to other healthcare professionals when you need to.
You will also be working as part of a larger multi-disciplinary team, alongside the substance misuse and mental health teams. You will have an interest in Substance Misuse and have had some exposure to this environment.
With plenty of primary care experience, you could be involved in anything from undertaking a wide variety of screening, assessments, examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Themain focus of this role will be to provide quality screening and assessment with the early days in custody patient cohort. We require a nurse who has excellent holistic assessment as well as being able to demonstrate accurate and detailed recording skillswithin in a fast paced multi-disciplinary environment. Your clinical assessment skills will be truly holistic, covering physical and mental health, as well as a good awareness of substance misuse issues.
