**Customs Coordinator**:

- Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: £24k - £25k per annum (DOE)

Our client based in **Basildon** are seeking a **Customs Coordinator**to join their organisation. The successful individual will be a part of the Logistics team assisting is areas of customers, directing & supporting multiple parties to ensure clearance of goods are handled quickly.

**Duties**:

- Coordinate Import & Export activities for the resident site
- Create, enter, & submit Customs declarations, for import & export consignments
- Ensure all HM Revenue & Customs duty liabilities are fulfilled
- Liaise with, customers, suppliers & customs authorities responding to any issues/questions
- Check invoices for both import & export brokerage & liaise with the broker / finance to resolve any invoice / payment issues
- Data entry
- Making customs entry amendment requests to HMRC

**Experience Required**:

- Experience of Exports/Imports & Customs Compliance and regulations (at least 2 years' experience desirable)
- Knowledge of customs requirements and formalities with particular focus on UK & EU imports (Desirable)
- Experience in road transport, logistics or haulage (Desirable)
- HMRC amendment & reclaim experience (Desirable)
- Good IT skills including Microsoft
- Must be able to prioritise & organise own workload with attention to detail
- Data entry
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

Monday-Friday 08:30-17:30, 1 hour lunch
Office based
Free parking
