Premier Work Support is seeking a permanent Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator to work for their client based in Basildon.

As the Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the global movement of goods, managing import and export processes, and ensuring that all shipping, warehouse, and purchasing activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the delivery of products and materials worldwide, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch.
  • Liaison with courier and freight companies to obtain quotes, arrange collections, and track shipments.
  • Ensuring compliance with international trade, customs, and export control regulations.
  • Preparation and verification of all import/export documentation
  • Ensuring tariff codes, incoterms, and commodity codes are correctly applied to all shipments.
  • Maintaining relationships with logistics partners and resolve any delivery or customs issues promptly.
  • Overseeing goods in and goods out activities, ensuring all items are accurately logged and recorded in SAGE 200.
  • Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Manage storage and warehouse layout to optimise space, safety, and operational flow.
  • Support the maintenance of a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment in line with company policies.
  • Monitoring supplier performance and escalate any issues affecting delivery or quality.
  • Maintaining and updating approved supplier lists, purchase records, and cost data.
  • Using SAGE 200 ERP to manage stock, allocations, and purchasing processes from component level through to final product assembly.

Skills required:

  • Proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or purchasing coordination
  • Strong understanding of import/export processes, customs documentation, and trade compliance.
  • Experience working with couriers, freight forwarders, and global delivery networks.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAGE 200 ERP (or similar system), including stock control, allocations, serial numbers, and assembly management.

For this role you will need to be highly organised with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset. Providing some flexibility to support other departments as and when needed.

Hours are Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
