Job Description for Warehouse Operator

Working in the Warehousing area’s as part of a team to ensure:

- Full understanding of the warehouse locations
- Accurate Picking of stocks to sales orders when allocated. Following set procedures.
- Checking of picked stock before packaging and despatch. Following set procedures.
- Goods are received and correctly booked in. following set procedures.
- Goods are located safely in to designated storage areas. following set procedures
- Stocks are checked using a warehouse cycle counting procedure
- Sales orders are printed in readiness for order picking. Following set procedures.
- Packing of stocks for secure and safe transport to customers. Following set procedures.
- Weighing of stocks to maintain computer information. Following set procedures.
- Working on the company computer system to ensure correct stocks are allocated to the
- Correct sales orders as requested by the sales team. Following set procedures.

- Working on web based computer systems to book parcels for carriage to customers through selected courier service companies. Following set procedures.
- Answering the Telephone in a polite and good manner, taking messages, gaining information where required. Following set procedures.
- Moving warehouse stocks form one warehouse to another in a controlled and safe manner. Following set procedures.
- Recording delivery details on a daily record spreadsheet
- Recording daily despatches on a record spreadsheet.
- Booking of pallet collections with external transport company to meet Varlink pallet delivery needs, ensuring all communications are made to result in successful collection and delivery in line with time schedule.
- Taking in all RMA returns, updating power quote system and passing the required devices on to the next stage, correctly.
- Booking and recording all RMA returns to customers or suppliers, ensuring the correct systems are used, the details of equipment’s are traceable through power quote orders at all times.
- Controlling visiting delivery drivers, to ensure safety and security of Varlink people and property & visitors
- Issuing manifests at the end of the working day for all couriers, passing on all required daily paperwork to the operations or purchasing Manager
- Cary out any reasonable request from any member of the VARLINK Team
- Ask questions for anything that is not understood, and ask for under pinning knowledge to ensure that your knowledge is growing at all times.

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour
