East Riding Horticulture Supplies are a specialist Horticultural supplier & wholesaler dedicated to providing top quality products and services to our customers within the Commercial Horticulture, Turf & Amenity and the Forestry & Landscape industries.

We are currently recruiting a full-time permanent **Warehouse Operative**who will be responsible to ensure that all daily warehouse and stock tasks are completed, as well as supporting the Warehouse Supervisor.

**Key responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Ensure safe handling and storage of all products in-line with company procedures
- Order picking from storage areas ensuring that correct stock is picked from the correct location
- Movement of incoming stock from suppliers using manual and mechanical operations ensuring that all lifting and maneuvering is carried out in accordance with company procedures
- Carry out daily stock counts
- Visual safety checks prior to use of manual and mechanical equipment ensuring that all defects are reported
- To load vehicles in a safe, legal, and presentable manner
- To maintain high standards of site housekeeping in all areas of the Warehouse and software
- To maintain high levels of Health and safety awareness and report any areas of concern
- To participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual and team goals
- To adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Undertake other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor
- On occasion you may be required to make deliveries

**Prerequisites**
- Forklift License
- Driving License
- Previous experience of working within a warehousing environment
- Self-Motivated, disciplined & positive
- Ability to lift and manually move heavy products
- Understands the importance of an effective warehousing and stock operation to the wider customer experience and overall success of the business

This is a varied role which will see you working outside in the yard and at times making deliveries. The right person needs to be an adaptable, hardworking, keen learner, with great communication skills and attention to detail. The Warehouse Supervisor will be your direct Line Manager, and the department sits within the Operations division of the company. This position will develop to meet the ever-changing needs of the business.
