Overview:
**Duties**:

- Plan, organise, and lead a variety of recreational activities for residents in a care home environment.
- Develop and implement activity programmes tailored to meet the needs and interests of individuals, including those in assisted living and dementia care.
- Encourage social participation and interaction among residents to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with care staff to ensure activities are inclusive, safe, and beneficial for all residents.
- Maintain accurate records of activity attendance, feedback, and resident engagement levels.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to coordinate schedules and special events.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home setting is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with residents of varying needs and abilities.
- Genuine passion for providing meaningful activities that enhance the lives of older adults.
- Understanding of dementia care principles and the impact of activities on cognitive function.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to resident well-being.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44-£11.45 per hour

Expected hours: 25 per week
