Here at Watkin Jones, we are now looking to appoint a Senior Site Manager to manage the active construction of our build to rent scheme based on Iona Street, Edinburgh. The BTR accommodation spans across four blocks and comprises of 199 studio flats. Thescheme also includes 20 affordable homes for social housing, together with 60 private flats, offering a mix of studios, 1-bed,2-bed and 3-bed properties.

Real attention has been given to the regeneration of the local area and incorporates eco-friendly credentials such as a green roof and excitingly the development has also been awarded a ‘very good’ rating by BREEAM.

The main purpose of this role will be to manage works on site, managing quality, safety and pace to ensure that projects and work is completed on time to the required standard. As Senior Site Manager you will hold responsibility for tasks within the developmentwhich will include areas such as delegating tasks appropriately, taking into account the project requirements, time, resources, personnel and capability. Within this role it is also essential that you have the ability to plan ahead and do mini look ahead/programmes.Finally, you will work closely with other Senior Managers where you will be accountable for monitoring and managing the construction working programme.

**About You**

You must be able to display knowledge of working with subcontractors, managing a team and previous experience operating as a Site Manager as well as a good standard and experience of Health and Safety. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Wordand Excel are a must, as are being able to read, understand and follow construction plans/drawings.
