**Lubrizol Huddersfield is looking to recruit a a Shift Process Operator to**
**produce a range of reactive and formulated products in accordance with standard procedures and operating instructions covering SHE, quality, output and efficiency aspects in a CoMAH Chemical Manufacturing Unit.**
- Ensuring that the correct materials (quantity and specification) are available for charging into the formulation process as required.
- Receiving and processing bulk tankers for offloading.
- Operation of the labelling machine to ensure containers are correctly labelled prior to filling
- Operation of multiple packing lines to pack final product into a range of product sizes, ensuring the packages are appropriately labelled and secured.
- Carrying out necessary multi-skilled maintenance activities to ensure plant availability to meet production plans as identified by the Production Manager/Shift Leader.
- Carrying out problem solving / troubleshooting in a safe manner to ensure production plans are delivered.
- Contributing to continuous improvement activities across their area of manufacturing.
- Upholding, maintaining, and improving the 5S area within packing operations
- Assisting SPT/Shift Leader in carrying out alarm & trip testing procedures, instrument calibration and other preventative activities such as lubrication of equipment.
- Carrying out training of new staff to ensure they are familiar with detailed operating requirements before validation.
- Maintaining accurate records of delay and stock usage for entry into SAP by others.
- Covering and supporting the Site logistics officer activities as and when required
- Charging of raw materials to reactors/hold tanks (as and when directed by the Shift leader or SPT)
- Assisting SPT/Shift Leader in carrying out alarm & trip testing procedures, instrument calibration and other preventative activities such as lubrication of equipment.

**To be successful you will have**:

- Experience of computer systems (SAP, MS office and DCS) and numeracy / literacy skills (written and verbal communication skills)
- Evaluation of plant data and identification of corrective action
- HS&E awareness - compliance with safe systems of work, knowledge of standards
- Maintenance skills to ensure completion of engineering tasks as and when required
- Prioritisation of tasks and planning shift activities - work planning
- Problem solving skills
- Attention to detail - compliance with operating instructions, keeping records etc.
- Team working ability
- Ability to contribute to improvement projects
- Fork lift truck operation
- Overall level of physical fitness required to be good as tasks such as charging and maintenance activities need to be undertaken (including in some areas with restricted access / confinement)
