**POST**: | Enabler/Support Worker
**LOCATION**: | Cramlington
**JOB PURPOSE**: | We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed Enabler to provide 1:1 close supervision for 7 year old at 5 hours per week.
**REF**: | SM/CRAM

You will be required to provide 1:1 support for a young person to support both at home and in the community accessing age appropriate 1:1 activities. This will include swimming, soft play, beach outings, cinema, Airbox Bounce, Tim Lamb Centre, and walks to the park and other local activities that may be of interest.

The support which will take place at home and gradually build up to outings to enable this young person to access age appropriate activities. The child has no concept of risk and danger and will need to be kept safe at all times.

**Main Duties**
- To support the child to access age appropriate 1:1 activities both at home and in the wider community, and to keep this youg person engaged in active pursuits
- To support the child when accessing community activities with social interaction and building relationships
- To build a relationship with the child understanding his nature and communication skills
- To support with personal care accessing only a disbaled toilet when in the comminuty if needed
- To ensure the child is kept safe from all risks and dangers

**Hours**

5 hours per week to be used flexibly and can be more flexible during school holidays but potentially at a weekend also.

**Essential Criteria**
- Have a high degree of initiative and can be firm when challenged.
- Be punctual and reliable.
- Be flexible.
- Have a happy positive caring nature.
- Have an outgoing personality.
- You must hold a full UK driving license and have business insurance included. The certificate must be shown to the employer upon commencement of this post.

**Rates of pay**
- £10.82 per hour. 5.6 weeks holiday (pro rata)
