EA Martin & Son Ltd celebrated our 100th anniversary on 17th March 2024 having successfully been providing hardware, tools and housewares to our trade customers since 1924. We are wholesale distributors who supply customers throughout the whole of Ireland from our warehouse based in Kilrea in NI.

**Job Purpose**

To provide support to the Finance team in all aspects of Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Transaction Finance

**Key Accountabilities**
- Chasing of customer late payments and monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtor days
- Entering of Supplier invoices onto the Purchase Ledger
- Preparing payments to suppliers
- Supplier statement reconciliation
- Raising queries through the appropriate channel, ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner by liaising with relevant stakeholders
- Month end closing
- Manage customer invoice runs
- Customer and Supplier onboarding and maintaining master data
- Produce monthly reports as required
- Liaising with suppliers, customers, as well as internal personnel
- Timely posting and reconciliation of all customer payments
- Evaluate credit limits based on company standards and requirements
- Main point of contact with Management Accounts to resolve queries and provide support for bank reconciliation
- Help to successfully embed a continuous improvement culture by suggesting and implementing ideas to streamline and improve Transaction Finance processes
- Provide cover for other key tasks within the team as required, including audit requests
- Ad-hoc administration duties as requested.

**Key Skills and Behaviours**
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong numeracy skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload to achieve required personal and organisational objectives
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven team player
- Hands-on approach and proven ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- A willing and adaptable aptitude to provide support to the finance team and when necessary, during busy periods or times of absence
- Self-motivated
- Commercial awareness and ability to work confidentially
- 3 years+ experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
