About the role

The Procurement Manager (Senior Procurement Compliance Officer) is responsible for supporting the Head of Quality and Compliance in ensuring the effective co -ordination of projects that meet the prescribed quality and compliance standard. The role will also be supporting the transformation and implementation of improved business/procurement processes, systems and performance management. The post holder will have strong background in procurement and the know how to combine the rigorous compliance needs, aligned to public sector regulations with sound commercial practice, that will deliver best possible outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

The roles and responsibilities of the Procurement Manager (Senior Compliance Officer):
Provide expert technical procurement and contract management guidance ensuring all regulatory and statutory duties discharged.
Support internal and external stakeholders with specification development to ensure sufficiently robust.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and economy through procurement activity such as developing the use of frameworks and other related procurement route option.
Conduct regular Public Procurement Regulations awareness sessions.
Support the Head of Quality and Compliance to proactively audit processes, practices and documents to identify weaknesses and present recommendations.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of Procurement Manager (Senior Compliance Officer) we are looking for people to demonstrate the following:
CIPS qualified
Experience of delivering public sector changes awareness sessions
Reading and validating contracts, ensuring that they are fully compliant
Exposure and experience to alternative frameworks
A thorough understanding of specification developing, including providing recommendations for a robust specification.
