The role will include working at both sites, QMC and City Campus; you must be able to travel to both campuses as part of this role. Computer skills are essential in this role and experience in using Microsoft Word and Outlook is necessary. Previous Radiology and secretarial experience is desirable but not essential.

**Detailed job description and main responsibilities**:
To provide a medical support secretarial service to the Department, Consultants and their teams as agreed whilst adhering to codes of practice concerning confidentiality and Data Protection.
Typing clinical and general correspondence for Consultants and Interventional Nurse Specialists ensuring any required follow up is actioned appropriately.
Ongoing maintenance of Consultant diaries
Attend meetings

**Training & Qualifications**:
**Essential criteria**:
- 3 GCSE Grade C or Above
**Desirable criteria**:
- RSA 2 or above for Typing
- Secretarial/Administration Qualification
- Shorthand
**Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:
- Knowledge of hospital systems, eg PAS and HISS, CRIS
- Previous NHS experience.
- Knowledge of Radiology medical terminology / experience of working in a Radiology environment
- Knowledge and experience of using software programmes, e.g., Microsoft Office/Word.
- Minute taking and servicing meetings
**Desirable criteria**:
- Audio Typing experience
**Communication & Relationship S**:

- Able to communicate information using a variety of written and verbal communication skills.
- Provides and receives information which requires tact and persuasive skills and where there are barriers to communication.
- Uses correct grammar and spelling
- Can complete letters / forms / reports / tables using computerised technology from information collected

**Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
