Canon UK is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Personal Assistant to the UK Business Operations Director. Working part time for 20 hours per week, this person will provide proactive, timely and efficient PA support to the Director and her management teams. The role requires an astute professional who can anticipate the business needs of the Director and ensures she gets the effective and efficient confidential support required for business success.

**What we ask**:
The role will include responsibility for:
- Arranging accommodation and travel for the Director or members of the leadership team in the business area where required.
- Organise and coordinate the smooth running of external and internal meetings, taking minutes and action where required. Distribute, coordinate, and chase key actions to support the department.
- Ad-hoc travel with leadership team or to business meetings to effectively support business operations for the Business Operations directorate.
- Minute taking and support for formal meetings concerning HR and Evolve processes, ensuring that confidentiality and accurate record keeping is maintained.
- Support the production of reports, presentations, and other documents to support the business operations and objectives.
- Liaise and manage external relationships to support the business area’s success. Acting on behalf of the Director where appropriate ensuring knowledge and support to support business success.
- Collaborating closely with the PA community to ensure that knowledge of business area is sufficiently shared and understood.
- Support budgeting process and management, coordinating and storing relevant information. Track relevant expenditure, collating any accruals. Consulting with team and finance departments as required.
- Manage and coordinate business area PO’s. Use required internal systems ensuring requests are completed and issues resolved.
- Organise events, setting and monitoring standards. Locate and book venues for external meetings in line with requirements, consulting with contacts before and during the event to ensure smooth running.
- Support in key initiatives and projects to support successful business delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date records for information in a way that is easy to retrieve and in line with Data Protection requirements. Collate key reports on behalf of the Business Operations Director as required and share with other agreed stakeholders.
**You will need**:
As the Personal Assistant to the Director of UK Business Operations, you will possess the following skills and expertise.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Previous PA experience
- Experience of working with performance metrics is desirable.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced customer relationship environment
- Demonstrable experience of planning and prioritising tasks, and working at pace with a sense of purpose and ownership
- Experienced in delivering to tight deadlines, self-driven and motivated
- Experience of working with a range of colleagues including Sales teams, Finance and HR, or able to demonstrate understanding of the impact of the PA role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with excellent inter-personal skills Communicating effectively at all levels and able to adapt style to suit the situation
- Numerate and proficient working with large volumes of data.
- Excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
