We are currently looking for an Account Manager to join our team on a nine - twelve month, fixed-term contract, covering a period of maternity leave and help drive our business growth across the UK and Ireland markets.

**The Role**
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all our distributor and resale sales activities in the UK and Ireland markets.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you’ll implement a sales strategy to successfully retain, build and acquire accounts, driving revenue growth and expanding our product pipeline into all market areas outside NHS customer areas.
In this key role, you’ll actively create new opportunities, build and maintain strong relationships and identify the most profitable markets so we can continue reaching our goals and targets.
Specifically, you will:
- Plan and manage face-to-face client meetings
- Negotiate prices with clients and successfully close opportunities
- Actively manage distributors
- Liaise with the Regulatory, After-Sales and R&D Teams to manage product launches
**About You**
To join us as an Account Manager, you will need:
- Experience in channel sales management with a proven track record in achieving profitable sales growth
- A good understanding of the healthcare and food diagnostic markets
- A track record in devising and executing a channel management strategy
- Experience of selling to and managing distribution and channel sales partners
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- The ability to influence people
- To be a strong team player
- The willingness to travel extensively as required for meetings and negotiations
- A degree level qualification or equivalent experience ideally in life sciences or diagnostics
