Multi-site national business with a strong presence in East Anglia is seeking a management accountant to cover various offices. Your main office can be in either Cambridge, Ipswich or Norwich with WFH 2 days a week.

You will be responsible for the timely and accurate production of management accounts, this incorporates understanding; challenging and consolidating numbers received from within the business.

Your main duties consist of the following:

- Analyse and report on key financial data ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information
- Prepare, develop and analyse management accounting information
- Provide high quality support service to management
- Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
- Provide a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
- Ensure spending is kept in line with the budget
- Inform key strategic decisions and formulating business strategies
- Advise on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions
- Analyse financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
- Negotiate on major projects, loans and grants
- Offer professional judgement on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance
- Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial managers
- Liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context
- Monitor and evaluate financial information systems and suggest improvements where needed
- Implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal control

You will preferably be Degree educated and working towards or with an industry recognised qualification (ACCA/CIMA). You will have commercial awareness, with an interest in business and an understanding of how an organisation works and manages resources.A high level of numeracy and accuracy, the ability to explain complex financial information, have strong IT skills, good project management skills and strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels includingnon-finance members of staff.

This role will involve visiting other sites on a regular basis so a driving licence is essential.
