Finance Director

Axon Moore are searching for a Finance Director for an ambitious SME based in Leeds. The business has made a number of significant capital investments in recent years and they are now reaping the rewards with both strong financial and profit projectionsfor the near future.
The new Finance Director will support the Managing Director across a number of key areas that reach well beyond just finance. This broad role will have lots of opportunities to add value and play a key role in the future direction of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the board with expert financial advice to enable effective decision making
- Harness the growth potential of the business by establishing efficient financial procedures and providing insight to the board
- Maintain robust control of costs whilst working with commercial functions to maximise profit
- Develop strong costing systems and models that run throughout the business
- Oversee the monthly management reporting schedule and reducing reporting timetable where possible
- Develop an in-depth knowledge and analysis of the key drivers of the business, and making performance based recommendations
- Manage the external audit process as well as manage a number of third party external relationships
- Qualified Finance Leader with experience in an SME environment
- Willing to manage hands-on tasks as well as possessing the gravitas and expertise to provide strategic direction to the Board
- Strong experience of cost control and costing metrics
- An individual who is looking to invest emotionally in the business, and show passion and dedication to help maximise its potential
