Due to exciting opportunities with increased orders from customers, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for you to join STI Limited as a **Skilled Mechanical Fitter** based at our manufacturing site in Poynton, Stockport. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled, time-served, hardworking individual to join a busy and fast-paced team working on a number of interesting and rewardingprojects.
The **Mechanical Fitter Contractor **roles are expected to be for a** 6 month fixed term contract,**working 37 hours per week across a 4.5 day working week.
**The role will involve**:
- Use of inspection and measuring equipment i.e. DTI, callipers, micrometres, component measuring to engineering drawings
- Assembly of more complex assembly products requiring knowledge of medium to heavy build shimming and balancing all to engineering drawings
- Assembly of movable components i.e. various types and sizes of bearings and motor assemblies
- Mechanical assembly of 19” racks to involve dimensional set up of runner rails and angles, gland plates, earth bars. Also, to include the set up and alignment of all units installed in the rack assembly
- Small to medium Box Build and Chassis assemblies with front panels, runners and various components installed
**For this role you will need**:
- Time-served experience in the above skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A good level of dexterity
