**Accommodation Consultant - French Speaker**

- **Hours of work**:_37.5 hours per week - Monday - Friday - one hour lunch
- **Contract**:_Maternity Cover: 6-12 months

We are currently looking for Accommodation Consultant to join our team

**THE ROLE**

As Accommodation Consultant you will be responsible for the arranging of accommodation reservations for all tours brands. This involves acting as the liaison between internal consultants and external suppliers and agents, to ensure these essential elements are delivered to our clients within agreed service levels, quality standards and within budget.

Reporting to our Accommodation Team Leader, Your day will typically involve;
- Liaising with Hotels and Agents to secure accommodation, services and rates for groups travelling with our PGL Group Brands (NST, European Study Tours, StudyLink, and PGL Ski / Overseas)
- Securing and confirming quotes for Accommodation
- Requesting and confirming group hotel reservations.
- Updating information in our travel reservations systems so our customer facing teams always have the right information at their fingertips.
- Managing our in-house hotel supplier contact management system
- Seeking out and negotiating with new suppliers for ad hoc / non-standard requests.
- Working closely with our sales, ops and contracting teams to promote use of our contracted rates and allocations
- Maintain up to date knowledge of destinations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with our suppliers
- Resolve pre and on tour problems
- Helping out in other parts of the business/other teams where required.

**IS THIS YOU?**

To be considered for the role, the following skills and experience are essential:

- Office administration experience **and/or** Business Administration qualification
- Fluent in French Language
- Strong Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate well, verbally and in writing
- Numeracy skills
- Strong self-organisational skills, able to effectively manage a variety of different tasks and procedures.
- Strong IT literacy and administration skills with experience of using MS Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
- Appetite and ability to learn quickly, and adapt to change
- Resilience and the ability to work at pace and handle peaks and troughs in both volume and pace of work
- Grade C (minimum Grade 4) or above in GCSE English and Maths or equivalent qualification / experience
