**Lead / Senior Digital Designer**

**Brighton BN1 4FY / Hybrid / Flexible with occasional travel**

**Salary £39900 - £47900 depending on experience + excellent benefits**

**The role**

A brilliant opportunity to continue in or step up into a Lead role, where you’ll lead on the development and delivery of technical and creative digital graphic solutions.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Leading on creative concept development
- Leading on new initiatives or projects, preparing best practice tools for roll-out to the wider studio team
- Advising and consulting with business clients to encourage best practice
- Researching the industry and liaising with supply network to stay on top of technological, cultural and trending developments
- Working closely with the Lead Print Designer to champion the convergence of online and offline offerings
- Contributing to and leading initiatives that will improve the customer experience in line with the company vision
- Briefing external agencies
- Day to day line management of a Junior Digital Designer.
- Attending meetings with members of the wider business unit to provide creative input and feedback.
- Ensuring all output complies with BG and partner brand guidelines
- Quality control of external marketing output and full sign-off process and independent proof reading and digital / artwork proofing
- Providing ad-hoc design, support and guidance to the wider business.
- Supporting the print design team and covering for the Design Studio Manager in their absence

**You**
- Energetic, organised and enthusiastic with a collaborative team spirit
- A genuine passion for design with significant and impressive commercial digital design experience - ideally gained in-house.
- Advanced level in Adobe Creative Suite (XD, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and HTML / CSS.
- Experience in analytics, rapid prototyping, CMS and open source tools.
- Experience of Hubspot or a similar CRM tool would be fantastic.
- Advanced understanding of colours, style of type, illustrations, photography, animation, line, composition and design.
- Project management and team leadership would be great.
- Superb written and verbal communication and effective, persuasive negotiation skills
- A creative thinker, able to produce new ideas and concepts.
