Reference: 1491384_1659455043 Date Posted: 02.08.22 **Head of Information Security | up to £63,000 | Education | Extensive Holidays & Competitive Pension** Corecom Consulting has been engaged to support our Education client with a Head of Information Security position they are currently recruiting. The Head of Information Security is vitally important in developing smart, safe and pragmatic information security policies and ensuring they are translated, implemented, reviewed and updated. Our client has embarked on a very significant change program impacting key business and research areas, systems and information used. The HoIS will work closely with the IT and cyber teams including IT security and access management to ensure they are on board with the journey. **What we are looking for?** - Ability to be able to collate various sources of information into a single, coherent narrative in the form of an exec report, adjusted when appropriate for a range of business stakeholders with supporting explanations. - Experience of managing a team of information governance, information security and data protection specialists. - Experience of bringing strategic, operational management and key systems owners and users on board to understand the importance of information governance policies and take them on a journey - Develop and deliver nuanced information security training and targeted educational / knowledge transfer sessions - Understanding of the technical control environments eg experience with "good, better, best" controls from a Microsoft perspective; Zero Trust architecture, data loss prevention etc What you can expect: - 33 days holiday + bank holidays - Pension 21% employer contribution + 9% employee - Remote/Hybird work This is a fantastic role for a Head of Information Security that wants to be part of something bigger, our client is in year 1 of 5 of their transformation journey across all processes, technology, and people within their organisation so there is a lot of potentials for someone to make their mark on the role.
