**Bolton Cares Supported Living Service - Support Worker**

**Location**:Locations across Bolton

**Salary**: Hourly rate of £12.60 with a premium of £40.00 paid for sleep in duties

**Contract**:Permanent

**Hours**:Full Time

**About Us**:
Our service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you will be expected to work on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.

We deliver high quality, compassionate care, and support to help local people live better lives. We are a person-centred team working from properties across the borough of Bolton.

We want people with the right values, behaviours and attitudes that match our own.

As part of our team, you will be supporting people in their own homes; the people we work with have complex needs including learning disability, mental health, and autism. Some also have significant physical health and personal care needs.

**About The Role**:
We are looking for reliable Support Workers to support individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives in their local community.

The role requires someone who thrives on variety, enjoys a challenge, and is highly adaptable, as you may be asked to work from multiple locations, dependent on service need.

They should be able to communicate confidently with others and are able to use or learn to use IT systems as this will help people to stay connected to their families and communities.

**We need you to**:

- Work from a variety of locations to meet service needs as required
- Be flexible in duties and locations
- Use and learn IT systems regularly
- Be confident interacting with people from all walks of life.
- Treat people with compassion and care
- Show dignity and respect to all the people you work with.
- Undertake personal care tasks,
- Support people to manage in their own homes,
- Support people with their medication
- Maintain social care records.
- Assisting with finances

**Experience and skills required**:

- Some experience supporting adults with either learning disability, mental health, autism, complex lifestyles and/or physical care needs is preferred but not essential
- Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
- A driving licence/ use of a car is desirable but not essential
