**How do we work?**
We are an agile team and we work in a CI/CD environment, releasing changes almost every day aiming to provide our audience a great product experience. We support this by making sure our testing is robust and that our pipelines are steadfast. Ensuring non-functional testing concerns are part of our workflow is important and crucial to our work. We monitor our systems in production to understand the impact of change every time we do a release. We stay connected to our audiences through regular monitoring, data analysis and debugging of device issues.

We work in multi-discipline crews with Software Engineers, Testers, Product Owners, Architects, User Experience and Delivery, in a respectful and collaborative environment. We encourage a culture of team empowerment that supports self-development for each individual.

As a tester you would be collaborating with all disciplines and contribute to our product feature development. Our products are underpinned by a technically diverse architecture, blending contemporary cloud services and well-established web technologies. Together they offer a unique opportunity to develop and utilise a broad range of technical skills.

Main Responsibilities
As a Tester you will be expected to:

- Work within and across our teams, innovating and shaping our products, systems, and processes through collaboration to deliver the best audience experience
- Ensure that our products are fit-for-purpose and delivered in the planned timescales continuously ensuring that risks are communicated, and relevant mitigations are in place
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of testing throughout the agile delivery lifecycle
- Define appropriate test plans/test approaches and ensure testing is effectively executed
- Contribute to troubleshooting product issues and providing accurate information to aid fixes
- Create detailed and accurate bug/defect tickets, ensuring issues are triaged, resolved, and communicated to stakeholders
- Work with other testers in creating and managing our Test Data, stubs, and harnesses.
- Validating the system through functional, non-functional, end-to-end, and exploratory testing to ensure it delivers the business requirements and benefits, reporting status against schedule
- Input into the Test automation strategy of our products, it’s effectiveness and value relative to the investment made
- Have an ability and willingness to determine when to automate tests and when to adopt a manual approach to testing
- Understand and contribute to our live incident management process
- Champion quality, continually improve team processes, and ensure it adheres to overall Test Strategy
- Collaborate within the test community and continuously look for opportunities to share ideas, knowledge, improvements, challenges
- Keep up-to-date developments and best practices within the development, testing and new media
- Experience in Test with a strong focus on delivering quality
- Experience working within a continuous integration delivery environment
- Experience within Agile working environments, pairing and working within a collaborative multi-discipline team
- Experience in working with and influencing agile processes across disciplines such as Kanban, Scrum
- Strong passion towards software testing and is an advocate of good practices in Testing
- Good understanding of the AWS platform and what it offers as a dedicated host e.g. Cloudwatch, Lambda, Codepipeline
- Good understanding of web technologies and tools e.g. XML, HTML, CSS, JSON, REST, React, AngularJS, Node.js, Puppeteer
