Quality Assurance Tester

We are one of the UK's most established têxtiles companies, operating in home-têxtiles & flat-linen in retail, hospitality, healthcare & institutional sectors. As part of our growth, and commitment to quality, we are now recruiting for a Quality Assurance Tester to be based at our laboratory in Salford (Greater Manchester)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To act as technical QA expert across our bed & bathroom linens.
- Assessing and addressing technical concerns - and ensuring that samples, strike-offs and production stock meet specification and quality standards.
- Inspecting development, pre-production, production & stock products against specifications set up by the company.
- Upkeep and management of test reports & documentation against our ISO 9001:2015 system.
- Regular ongoing testing of products as required in or test laboratory.
- Experience using lightbox, rub-test, and tensile tester are a benefit.
- Support with customer and supplier quality assurance requirements.
- Supporting with the diagnosis and resolution of product quality issues.
- Laising with factories on samples
Key Skills
- Knowledge of têxtile fabric constructions especially bed linens & bathroom têxtiles.
- Knowledge of têxtile manufacturing techniques
- Knowledge of QA & compliance.
- Good communicator.
- Self motivated.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent organisation and time-management.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £21,814.09-£33,685.79 per year
