This role is based in Epsom and you will oversee the management at our service Yew Tree Bottom which currently supports 4 individuals who have learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism and mental health needs. The role will be a mixture of running day to dayand supporting on shifts.
The role will include working alongside the new Service Manager in the day to day running of this new service including:
- Responsible for the daily management and running of the service and the staff team.
- Responsible and reportable to the Service Manager and working in cooperation with the Service manager and ASM from Conifers.
- Management of a staff team with one to one responsibilities, finance responsibilities, safeguarding responsibilities, liaising with external professionals and relatives.
- Shift leading (through allocation) resulting in supervising support staff, running of the shift and shift leader responsibilities.
- Supporting PWS, safety in the service for all PWS, staff and visitors.
- Maintain an understanding of the social care sector and how it impacts on areas of responsibility and the organisation.
- Effectively recruit, develop and manage employees in a fair and consistent manner.
- Act as the Service Manager in their absence.
- Day to day support for the people we are supporting.

**About YOU**
- Experience supporting individuals who have learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or acquired brain injuries.
- Experience of supervising/managing a small to medium team within social care.
- Experienced with providing Person-Centred support and to be passionate about it.
- To be able to support people with personal care
- Ability to manage own time and able to work under pressure
- Computer literate with good use of Word, Excel and general computer use on a daily basis
- Be flexible and be able to work shifts required
- Due to the nature of the role it is essential that applicants for this role hold a full valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle for business use.
