**Role**

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge and Excel skills to join our dynamic Finance team.

This is a senior role with responsibility for ensuring that all internal and external financial reporting requirements are met on time and in accordance with the relevant accounting and regulatory standards. Reporting deliverables include monthly managementaccounts, quarterly regulatory returns and annual statutory accounts.

As Management Accountant you will play a key role in the coordination, production and review of the various deliverables as well as providing advice on complex accounting matters. You will be responsible for analysing and investigating variances to budget/forecast,preparing written commentaries on the movements in a period and for responding to queries from various stakeholders with the Group.

Key accountabilities will include:

- Ownership of the financial control framework
- Balance sheet management, ensuring that all material balances are sufficiently controlled and reconciled on a monthly basis
- Cash flow management, including optimisation of Endsleigh’s working capital cycle, and the production of accurate short
- and long-term cash flow forecasts
- Ensuring compliance with the FCA’s Financial Regulatory requirements and all other applicable legislation
- Working collaboratively to support the Financial Controller and the other team members in the achievement of team and departmental objectives, providing cover to ensure key deliverables are met during periods of colleague/leader absence
- VAT reporting
- Key point of contact for external auditors

**Person**

**The successful Management Accountant will also have**:

- Strong use of initiative to problem solve and drive process improvement
- Excellent communication skills
- Good organisational skills, with experience in prioritising workload to ensure tight deadlines are achieved
- The ability to instigate and implement change
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills

**Knowledge**:

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, particularly FRS 102, and other applicable financial legislation/regulation
- Internal control framework and risk awareness
- Sage 50 or other general ledger packages
- Knowledge of FCA regulatory reporting
- Knowledge of company systems and processes

**Qualifications/Experience**:

- Professionally qualified accountant or qualified by experience
