**Management Accountant**

**Up to £45,000**

**Cheltenham + Hybrid Working**

We are working with a rapidly growing business in the centre of Cheltenham. Our client supports a number of businesses with their accountancy needs and are seeking a Management Accountant to join their forward thinking, dynamic team.

To succeed in this Management Accountant role, you will need to be CIMA, ACCA qualified, or equivalent. You will need to take a hands-on approach, be motivated to succeed and above all be passionate about building an awesome company.

The business is in the centre of Cheltenham, but you can balance your work both remotely from home and in the office, as well as meeting clients onsite.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with the Client Directors to onboard new clients and implement processes and automation tools, helping the client understand and adopt them
- Maintenance of client general ledgers, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal preparation and postings
- Revenue recognition
- Maintain accounting schedules, such as prepayments, accruals, and provisions
- Month end duties, assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts for clients
- Cash flow forecasting and reconciliations
- Work with the client teams in the production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Management of one team member who is responsible for day-to-day transaction processing on behalf of the clients
- Identify and communicate ongoing client requirements in the development of the platform
- Work collaboratively with the wider team

**Skills/Experience**:

- Experience working in a Management Accountant role or equivalent
- ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivalent
- Experience with Accounting Software e.g. Xero, Sage
- Highly motivated and ambitious with excellent communication skills
- Ability to translate complex data into easy-to-understand messages
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong time management skills
- Desire to work in a fast-paced start-up company
