We are one of the UK’s leading authorities in green gas solutions injecting the first green gas into the UK gas distribution network. We are looking to capitalise on our success in an energy market which is prioritising de-carbonisation and net-zero solutions, so we have expanded our operations within the Commercial Services and Investment team to include ambitious growth plans in theenergy transition by investing, building, owning and operating district heat networks, supporting the government’s plans to meet Net Zero carbon emissions. Owned by a number of infrastructure investors, SGN CS is the home for existing and new non-regulated commercial ventures that sit outside of the core gas distribution business and an increasingly important part of the SGN Group. The Commercial Service and Investments is looking to recruit for an exciting new role as a Heat Network Development Analyst to support the delivery of SGN’s’s new national heat networks joint venture and supporting the Group’s property business with carbonreducing cost effective heating solutions. **THE ROLE** The Graduate Heat Network Development Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Development Manager in originating, developing, evaluating, and delivering all aspects of heat network projects and business plans. Responsible for supporting deliveryof new district energy contracts from inception with prospective clients, through design analysis, energy supply modelling for heating and cooling to contract close. **Key responsibilities will include;** - Stakeholder engagement with our JV partners, local authorities, customers, clients, and government bodies. - Function Manage customer relationship and delivery - Lead and facilitate effective client engagements - Oversee the delivery of an entire engagement and / or technical workstream - Coordinate all project streams and stakeholders (Client, SGNCS Impact, other SGN entities, ), with multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural dimensions - Ensure program is effectively delivered, on time, on budget and with the expected quality. - Animate the key milestones of the project through client meetings, workshops and engagements. - Develop proposals under the supervision of the Business Development Managers leadership, utilising analyst/consulting team. - Promote SGN Heat Networks by building and developing a strong network, attending key events regarding heat networks and sustainable transition. - Develop a deep understanding of client’s needs to design/review sustainability strategy offerings tailored to the needs of the clients. - Support the District Heat Network marketing and strategy plan for "go to market" delivery. - Support the business investment review process providing input data for modelling all lifecycle costs. - Track project delivery and engagement with supporting reports and data. - Support project management, construction, delivery to budget, contractual compliance to meet the Clients expectation and account manage the investment over the life of the project. - Provide supporting data to maintain the company business plan. **BENEFITS** This role will offer plenty of genuine learning and development opportunities, as well as Company benefits: - Competitive Salary - Company Pension Scheme - 25 days Holiday including Bank Holiday - Retail & Leisure Discounts, - Cycle2work schemes, - Gym & Mobile discounts - and more **CULTURE** Fostering a diverse and inclusive culture is something we pride ourselves on at SGN. Business, Finance, Economics, Project Management, Law or any other relevant degree related to heat networks. - An understanding of contract and commercial management principles. - Understanding of technical and commercial aspects of the UK heat network market. - Understanding/appreciation of commercial/finance concepts. - Appreciation of developing product offers and client solutions. - Experience or understanding of commercial negotiations and developing financial models. - Commercial acumen or understanding of closing contracts and financial modelling. **Desirable skills**: - Degree qualified - Project Management qualification. - Financial Modelling - Understanding of Heat Networks and/or construction delivery and procurement processes - Driving License Not a perfect skills match?
