We ensure we recognise and thank our team with various rewards - Enhanced maternity and paternity scheme - Cycle to work scheme - Enhanced sick pay scheme - Employee Assistance Programme to give you confidential advice and support - Death in service benefit amounting to 3 times annual salary **What a good Finance Assistant looks like to us**: - A great standard of education, level 2 AAT as a minimum - Some knowledge of financial and management accounting, including the preparation of accounts, budget forecasts - Experience of working within a medium sized entity or equivalent business environment - Evidence of a great customer service ethos, with experience of dealing with a wide range of customers, suppliers and other external agencies - Attention to detail and accuracy, and complete all tasks to a high standard - Experience of using IT systems including Microsoft Office - Working in social housing is a challenging but rewarding career, you’ll be helping to bring real change to our customer’s lives **What will stand you out from the crowd**: - An appreciation of the social housing sector - An organised individual who is capable of planning and monitoring varied workloads for him/herself, with the ability to work to deadlines - Comfortable working in a busy office environment - Willing to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges - You’ll be adept at change, having got hands on experience living and breathing new ways of working **As a Finance Assistant a typical day might include**: - The posting of cash receipts received in an accurate and timely manner - The posting of all monies received for rent through housing benefit and direct debits to customer accounts in our housing management system - Ensuring all cashbook payments are entered into our finance system on time - Carrying out the processing of purchase ledger transactions in an accurate, timely and efficient manner - Being the first point of contact for customer enquiries, and ensuring accurate recording of conversations in our customer relationship management system - Any other duties, consistent with the above, that may be required from time to time **ion.
