A Senior IFA Administrator with a good technical grounding in pensions and investment is needed to join the team at this Hove based wealth manager with big ideas and a desire to grow.
They’re looking for a bright, motivated and experienced IFA Administrator to help them achieve their plans.
**About the Senior IFA Administrator role**:
Their clients look to them for help in managing their pensions and other investments; you will help the advisers deliver a first-class service. You will help to onboard new investors and look after their current clientele in a compliant and helpful manner.The successful applicant will be self-reliant, enthusiastic with a desire to progress and learn. They need someone who can take responsibility for resolving issues quickly using their own initiative.
They want you to grow and progress in the practice and they will support you in becoming more knowledgeable and better qualified with appropriate qualifications. They are expanding and there is a possible route to advising for the right person. They willtrain you fully but you must already have experience working within a financial advice or life and pension provider.
Pay is negotiable and a discretionary bonus may also be payable. They are busy and there may be paid overtime. It’s not all grind though and they have staff social events and are planning an overseas weekend trip for all staff and partners. They offer apension that is more generous than auto-enrolment requirements and death in service.
They are a tight team and you must be keen, organised and able to manage a varied workload. Communication is all important and you must be happy talking to clients and companies.
They work from Platform 9 in Hove, which is Hove’s most vibrant co-working environment with its own café, social nights and the opportunity to meet people from all sorts of other businesses. Once established, there may be the opportunity to work from homeone day a week although this is entirely at their discretion.
Standard hours are 9-5. They are a family oriented, supportive employer and can discuss some variation of hours if needed.
**Your role will be flexible but will include**:
- Telephone answering and message taking.
- Diary and task management.
- Diligent use of our back-office system to record client details, tasks, plans etc.
- Liaising with product providers to obtain and chase information.
- Researching fund performance.
- Processing attitude to risk questionnaires.
- Preparation of illustrations and key features.
- Providing protection and annuity rate comparisons.
- Producing client reports from various sources.
- Administering fund switches and portfolio rebalances.
- Fee and commission reconciliation.
- General office duties to include scanning, filing, photocopying and preparing meeting rooms..
- Administrative and occasional PA duties to support financial adviser and paraplanner.
- Producing mailshots. Mailchimp experience would be helpful.
- Attending company meetings.
- Completing in house training.
**Required skills**:
- Minimum of Certificate level with CII (or equivalent with IFP).
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience.
- Experience and good product knowledge of pensions, investments and protection.
- Proficient administrator, organised with good communication skills, be able to work happily within a team and under their own initiative, occasionally under pressure.
- Conscientious and detail orientated.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads. You must be able to use initiative and look for solutions.
- PC literate with the ability to use standard Microsoft products Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook to a good standard.
- Fluent in written and spoken English with good telephone manner.
- Friendly, approachable and personable.
**Nice to have**
- They are looking to promote themselves better. An ability to help with social media presence and marketing would be great.
- Experience of Quilter and Aviva platforms.
- Experience of Intelligent Office.
- Experience of Morningstar Advisor Workstation Office.
- Experience of Assureweb and The Exchange.
- Knowledge of PC issues and problem solving including issues with printers, network connections, reinstalling Windows etc.
- Experience of group pension, death in service and income protection administration.
- Interest in ESG investment
