**About the role**

We are at an exciting point in this journey following a recent reorganisation to bolster Environmental Health service delivery. There is a new structure in place - all focused on rebalancing Environmental Health and delivering statutory functions using a risk-based and proportionate approach. Progress has been made but there is still a long and challenging journey ahead of us. That is why we are looking for extraordinary colleagues to join our team for what will undoubtedly be one of the most rewarding challenges of their careers.

**About you**

You will need to demonstrate:

- A qualification as listed in the Food Law Code of Practice to deliver the full range of official food controls
- Experience in carrying out health & safety inspections
- Experience in taking enforcement action
- Proven front line experience in delivering official food controls within a local authority setting
- Practical experience in food and health and safety complaint investigations
