Based in Watford, Hertfordshire our award-winning client are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team in a 3-4 month temporary assignment.

This company is a large USA based multinational company which now operates in eight countries and has been recently awarded in the Sunday Times Best Place to Work For list. As a large brand they are generous with customer loyalty and provide many benefitsto their employees.

The successful individual should be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with strong technical financial accounting and good Excel experience. They must have the ability to approach problems from a different angle and challenge existing processes and practices,while being self-motivated with plenty of stamina to deliver and complete all tasks to strict reporting deadlines each period with a high degree of accuracy.

Job responsibilities:

- Calculate and post period end journals in relation to central maintenance contracts. Liaise with MIS and maintenance departments to obtain information to prepare accurate and timely periodic updates.
- Periodic reporting to US parent company using Onestream platform.
- Prepare quarterly schedules for US external reporting.
- Prepare FRS 102 Statutory accounts and supporting working papers for all UK entities.
- Assist manager on other period end related activities as well as allocated ad hoc tasks. Assist other areas of the Financial Accounting department as and when necessary.
- Prepare EComm trial balance each period and analyse EComm expenses allocated between Home Office and EComm.
- Maintain complete set of US GAAP ledgers and reconciliations, generate periodic journals to comply with US GAAP reporting and update Excel P&L and BS.
- Balance Sheet reconciliation to high standard after each period close.
