Our client is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant for a 6-9 months contract.

This position will play a key role in the preparation and submission of VAT returns for the Group and supporting in the year end process and Audit.

As a Financial Accountant you will play a key role in the team that are working out of their Watford Office. The team work 4 days a week in the office.

Key Position responsibilities include:

- Assisting in Month end reporting
- Financial reporting reconciliations
- Fixed Asset reporting
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Treasury, cash and covenant reporting
- Ensuring financial records are kept up to date across the Group companies
- Assisting with the year end process and audit
- Maintain up to date financial records.
- Provide support on the preparation of statutory accounts
- Ensure financial records are kept up to date across the Group companies
- VAT submissions across group
- Cash reporting
- Cashflow management

Person Specification
- Attention to detail, with good analytical and numerical skills.
- Team player and ability to work collaboratively with the wider team to meet periodic deadlines
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical accounting knowedge.
- A self-starter who is able to prioritise and manage deadlines.
- Ability to bring a commercial outlook to the role such that deliverables add value and insight to the business.

As this role is a contract position it is vital that you are immediately available or on short notice as your contract is ending shortly. You will have experience in a similar role and be ideally qualified ACCA or CIMA. The client will consider PQ or QBEif you have relevant and recent experience in Financial Accounting.
