Our dedicated team is passionate about delivering high-quality early years education rooted in Scotland’s national frameworks. The Role: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Nursery Room Leader to lead one of our vibrant rooms. You will inspire your team, ensure outstanding care, and create a safe, engaging space that aligns with Scotland’s *Curriculum for Excellence* and *Realising the Ambition: Being Me*. Key Responsibilities: - Design and deliver creative, play-based learning activities tailored to children’s developmental needs. - Lead, mentor, and support a team of nursery practitioners, promoting teamwork and professional growth. - Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate standards, Scottish childcare regulations, and health/safety policies. - Build trusting relationships with parents/carers through regular communication and updates on their child’s progress. - Conduct observations, assessments, and maintain records to support each child’s individual journey. - Manage room resources efficiently and contribute to the nursery’s continuous improvement. Person Specification: - Essential: - SVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent Scottish-recognised qualification). - Proven experience as a Room Leader/Senior Practitioner in an early years setting. - Strong understanding of Scottish frameworks (*Curriculum for Excellence*, *GIRFEC*). - Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. - Commitment to inclusive practice and child-centered learning. - Desirable: - Additional training (e.g., Forest School, Paediatric First Aid, SENCO). - Experience with Care Inspectorate inspections.
