We provide affordable extended childcare services of outstanding quality for children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years old. As the leader of the playroom team at our nursery, you will be in charge of ensuring the efficient running of your assigned playroom. This includes delivering care that promotes children's development, managing other playroom staff, imparting your knowledge to improve procedures, and guaranteeing adherence to all regulatory requirements at the nursery.

**Main Duties**

- Communicating with parents, carers, and the local Authority
- Keeping children safe and Healthy
- Supervising staff and assigning tasks

**Childcare Practitioner - What we need from you**:
We are seeking professionals who possess a positive, passionate, and enthusiastic attitude towards childcare. If you are a team player, with a nurturing and compassionate demeanour, who is reliable, responsible, and capable of forming strong bonds with children and their families, we would love to connect with you.

**Essential**
- Educated to level 3 or above with a recognised professional qualification in early years education or equivalent Experience of supplying a programme of care and play activities for children from birth to 5 years in a nursery or similar setting.
- Have proven organisational skills and experience of leading a small team.
- Have knowledge and understanding of current legislature and best practice documents.

In addition, you will need to be flexible and resourceful, with a strong commitment to delivering first class childcare.

All staff and volunteers are expected to demonstrate their commitment to safeguarding children and young people within their work.

Successful applicants will be required to meet the criteria for registration with Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and the Scottish Social Services Council.
