A rare opportunity has arisen within South Western Ambulance Service for a Risk, Assurance and Compliance Facilitator. Working in a small and powerful team, this role supports the Ambulance Service’s Risk Management processes and compliance activities ultimately working to minimise risk and ensure that the Trust meets its statutory obligations. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders across all levels, particularly the Care Quality Commission, this is a high profile role which could be the springboard into the rest of your career.

Key components of the role are to;
- Provide support to the Trust’s risk management processes, providing advice and support on risks, risk assessments, internal controls and mitigation to staff across the Trust;
- Act as the lead liaison with the Care Quality Commission, managing the flow of information between the Trust and the CQC and assisting in the management of CQC inspections;
- Maintain the Trust’s Risk Platform and provide training on the system to staff;
- Get out and about visiting ambulance stations across the South West conducting mock CQC inspections, meeting lots of different and interesting people;
- Opportunities to influence and contribute to change - the beating heart of which is our patients;
- Enhance your knowledge and expertise in risk management and compliance (two expanding areas for the price of one) in the exciting Emergency Services arena with an opportunity to gain or increase invaluable experience in the NHS/healthcare sector
