This is a key role within a high performing and close-knit team, where you will play an instrumental role in supporting the efficient and effective operation of all Sainsbury’s Investor Relations activity. Your responsibilities will include co-ordinating an effective programme of investor engagement, organising internal and external events, ensuring the smooth delivery of results announcements and producing financial and competitor analysis.

This is a highly desirable and varied role with direct exposure to the CEO, CFO and Operating Board. It’s a fantastic learning opportunity, giving a unique oversight of Sainsbury’s strategic narrative and external communications.

**What you need to do**
- Co-ordinate and schedule investor meetings and play an instrumental role in organising events such as Capital Markets Days, investor updates and store tours. Support the IR team to design the most effective programme of investor engagement
- Manage the logistics for Prelims, Interims and quarterly trading statement calls, webcasts and internal communications, managing strong relationships with third party suppliers
- Produce financial analysis to support Prelims, Interims and trading statement announcements and to drive insight into Sainsbury’s, competitors and market performance
- Support the maintenance of the consensus of recommendations and estimates for the sell-side analysts that cover Sainsbury’s, ensuring it is up to date and reported on the website accurately
- CRM system management - maintain a database of investor contacts, track meeting requests and engagements, develop investor Targeting list and perform benchmarking analysis
- Organise UK and overseas investor roadshow trips for IR team and CFO/CEO including preparation of schedules, investor briefing notes and travel arrangements, using tools in the Ingage platform and support from external brokers and the exec team PA’s
- Attend key Shareholder and investor meetings and analyse feedback and attend key internal strategic meetings with the Operating board and external advisors
- Produce and distribute regular IR communication to senior stakeholders such as the Operating and PLC board, including market performance and competitor analysis
- Manage ad hoc team activities such as uploading content to the external Investors website, processing invoices and providing technical support for events and meetings
- Support with key IR document preparation - results announcements, presentations, Q&As, invites and communications to investors, verification of financial information

**What I need to know and show**
- Relevant IT skills - Full suite of MS Office capability, particularly MS Excel
- Strong administrative or co-ordination skills are desirable
- Experience in manipulating and analysing large quantities of data and providing insight into this data desirable
- Experience in event planning is desirable
- Ability to build strong professional relationships and have a high degree of customer focus and commercial awareness
- A self-starter who has a high level of drive and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to work independently, use initiative and solve problems, as well as working within a close-knit team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong self-organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
- Comfortable working some longer hours at pinch points and confident in front of senior management and external investors
