**Job Description**:
The Maintenance Planner will work within our Freeze Dried department, you will be at the forefront of all the planned maintenance within this area. This role will give you the key exposure to develop your career to that next level.
- Lead implementation of maintenance best practices in the area.
- Develop manage, and improve Preventative Maintenance regimes and schedules within Freeze Dried inclusive of plant outages/shutdowns.
- Support on capital projects to provide maintenance knowledge and assistance.
- Ensure the SAP maintenance module is being used effectively to administer the planned maintenance regime for the plant.
- Manage and raise PO’s on the maintenance budget.
- Provide key performance indicators to demonstrate maintenance performance and improvements.
- Issue daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly running checks and PM’s
- Obtain feedback from running checks and PM’s and log onto SAP.
- Promote a safety conscious working environment where all engineering personnel adopt safe working practices.
- Work with the Maintenance Lead to ensure all statutory obligations are carried out and repairs are completed.
- Maintain regular daily contact with Technical Leads/Shift Leads through OPS meetings to be fully aware of the production status and ensure maintenance issues are being dealt with effectively.
- Creation of technical OPL’s, SOP’s and training manuals.
- Creation of all stores stock requests within the area.
- Liaising with external suppliers and contractors to conduct work which cannot be done internally.
- Capability of attending external offsite visits, with suppliers.

**Qualifications**:

- Technician with HNC or equivalent.
- Experience of managing maintenance activities
- Knowledge of business systems (eg SAP)
- Systematic and logical approach to fault finding and problem solving
- Appreciation and understanding of relevant UK and European standards, codes of practice and procedures
- Excellent communication skills (in appropriate forms) and able to articulate well
- Build effective working relationships at all levels internally
- Self-disciplined and able to work under minimum supervision - self starter in attitude
- Organised and pro-active
- Have a mindset of working safely or not at all
