The Trust needs to increase and manage the current small a pool of volunteers who carry out on-site work and other work associated with canal restoration such as publicity, fundraising and other important roles. It has been agreed by the Trustees that a paid Volunteer Coordinator should be recruited.

**The principal role will be to**:

- Recruit new volunteers and to ensure that they are appropriately matched and trained for a position.
- Manage, monitor and motivate existing and new volunteers.

**Secondary role will be to**:

- Arrange for appropriate training when needed as identified through regular informal contact.
- Keep detailed records of volunteers’ information and assignments, including certifications for the use of power tools etc.
- To initiate an induction process

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to support, motivate, and inspire.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £31.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Lancaster
